Lavoisier
Lavoisier
Lavoisier is a free, open source font family. Feel free to download the fonts, use them, embed them, tweak them, do pretty much whatever you want. You can play around with the source files if you have FontLab. If you make a change that you think is valuable, let me know and maybe I’ll incorporate that change into future releases. Or go ahead and release your own version, if you like.
I’m distributing the family under the SIL Open Font License. Please let me know if you have constructive criticism, or if you use the fonts to create something cool. Thanks!
Here are all of the official releases of Lavoisier, starting with the first (oldest) version on top, and working to the last (newest) version on the bottom:
| Font | Source | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Original Version (OTF) | FontLab source files | the original Lavoisier |
| Cyrillic Extensions (OTF) | FontLab source files | Lavoisier plus Ukrainian, Russian, and Belorussian glyphs and some Komi (as well as bug fixes) from Sergiy Tkachenko. Thanks, Sergiy! |
| Version 1.2 Regular (OTF) | FontLab source files | I’ve integrated the Cyrillic extensions, added small caps, added some Greek glyphs, added a lot of extra other glyphs with diacritics, and tweeked some of the old glyphs. |
| Version 1.2 Family (OTF) | FontLab source files | Here’s the whole family (regular, bold, italic, bold-italic) for ver. 1.2. |
| Version 1.2.001 Family (OTF) | FontLab source files | Minor bug fix. |
| Version 1.3 Family (OTF) | FontLab source files | Lots of tweaked glyphs; completely re-worked side-bearings and kerning. |
